Brinks also offers Google Nest equipment.īrinks equipment is wireless, making installation easier. The panel uses encrypted signals, includes a glass break sensor, and uses dual-path connectivity to protect in the event that the Wi-Fi goes down or the panel is compromised. With your phone in your pocket, the panel can sense your presence and will request to disarm your system. One of the panel’s most unique features is Bluetooth disarming or touchless disarming. This system is compatible with Nest, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. It also has a built-in camera and multiple wireless radios including Z-Wave Plus to help you connect to and control smart home devices like smart lights, locks, and thermostats. It comes equipped with a cellular chip for communication as well as battery backup. The IG Gen 2 Security Panel is the brains of all Brinks Home Security systems. Almost 7 months later I was able to have the contract terminated and monies reimbursed that Brinks was collecting from me after my original contract had expired.Brinks offers two plans (Home Complete and Home Complete with Video) that offer partially or fully covered devices, as well as the option to add more equipment to your plan. It took months and help from the Better Business Bureau for Brinks Canada to apologize and omit their mistake and installers misrep. I was informed then that I was in another 3 year contract that I signed when the installer was installing the second alarm. turning off and on with out me operating the system, Brinks has tried fixing it a number of times). Two months after my contract was up I notified Brinks that I did not wish to renew my contract due to service issues with my current alarm (since I moved to my new location my alarm was not functioning well. Installed alarm for free and asked me to sign a form stating that the job was completed. I called Brinks and they sent an installer. Couple years after I moved, 4 months left on my contract I moved. A few days after the salesman visited an installer came and installed the alarm and I signed a form stating the work was completed. Salesman statemented and underlined in the contract that if I moved within the next 3 years to call Brinks and they will install another alarm at my new address if no alarm in that home for free (3 year contract signed at this point). Installation was free with a 3 year contract at $40.00 a month monitoring fee. Beyond/Brinks is a terrible company with a terrible security system. They don't like helping you when their are issues. If it does connect it takes a long time to show up on your phone, 10-20 seconds. By the time the connection happens, if it happens, the person that rang the doorbell is gone. They always take 2-3 attempts to connect. The cameras never connect without a glitch. I'm trying to cancel my contract because they can not fulfill their terms of providing a properly working secuirty system and they put through department and said soneone will call me right back to get cancellation finalized. I called to fix and 1.5 weeks later no one called back. The new cameras voice speaker system is all muffled. Changed the first cameras because the images were blurry. The secuirty hardware is full of flaws and never works seamlessly. He blames any issues with their system on the home owner or the internet connection even though their test with my internet connection is always great. Beyond is an affiliate of Brinks and the manager is horrible to deal with. They made huge promises of how wonderful their ystem is & how great their customer service is.
